It is holiday season! I know holiday season can be a REALLY busy time for everyone, especially us parents. For me holiday season = busy with work, running around buying gifts, catching up with friends, working out what to cook on the Christmas Day. Its crazy and there is hardly one minute to relax. During this time, I often forgetting to take time to look after myself and I bet many of you can relate. I want you to remember that it’s important to look after yourself too. So if you can, try and make sure you take some time out for yourself this week!
Taking time out for yourself will mean something different to all of us. For me, having a “me time” is doing a workout (even though I often get interrupted, you know what does it mean when you have a baby and a toddler in the same time),or doing a yoga, having a tea break, read a book, take a bath, or watch an episode on Netflix.
Also remember that even a short amount of time looking after yourself can make a big difference to your mental health. For me, doing a short workout even just for 15 minutes, can completely change my day. I did one quick yoga session and a 5 minutes abs exercise this morning and I feel so much better instantly).

So, I know that it’s easy to put your own needs last when so much is going on, but try and make your health a priority when you can during this holiday season!
Take time for yourself and love yourself a little bit more each day.
