I always have dry lips problems ever since I moved here to Europe. That problem seems to get worst in winter. It often too dry until cracked. I love stored-bought lip balm, but ever since I started my aromatherapy journey, I am very determined to create all my skincare products with all-natural ingredients.
This homemade lip balm is so moisturized, it is as good as my usual stored bought lip balm. The best thing is, I can create different flavour each time I finished my tube. I never get bored of it.
It is so simple to make, you only need 4 ingredients to create this wonderful lip moisturiser. And it is ready to use almost right away once you fill in the tube.

- Unrefined Shea Butter: Unrefined shea butter has stronger nutty smells than refined shea butter. Please opt for a refined one if you prefer a less nutty flavour.
- Avocado Oil: It is high in monounsaturated fats and vitamin E. It provides you with the nutrients and antioxidants that your lips will need. At the same time also moisturise your lips.
- Natural Beeswax: Beeswax is the best natural emollient. It helps to seal the moisture into your lips and prevent your lips from drying up.
- Essential Oil of your choice: Essential oil in this recipe is not just only for the flavour but also give a touch of cosmetic boost. Peppermint oil is perfect for summer as it gives you a cool sense of feeling each time you applied. Lavender oil soothes your cracked lips and heals them as well. If you are creating this lip balm for your man, copaiba oil or sandalwood oil are your best choice, as their woodsy smells are more of a manly vibe. Personally, I love orange, lemon, peppermint and lavender flavour.

Notes
- In an optimal hygiene condition, this lip balm can store up to 6 months. But you probably already finished before that.
- It is preferable to create in one or 2 tubes so that you are sure that you can finish using it in time. Homemade products are cheap but that doesn’t mean that you could waste them.
- The lip balm solidified almost immediately once you fill in your lip balm container.
