Because after my first single-use clay mask creation was such a success– I love how my skin was so smooth and cleaned. I decided to whip a new batch of a clay mask, except that this time is not just for single-use, I made it in a larger batch so that I could use it at any time I want. I apply a clay mask on my face at least once a week, I am crazily obsessed over it and I think you will too. As not only clay mask cleans and tightens your pores, it also helps to soothe and smooth tired skins.
Ingredients of my eucalyptus mint clay mask
Since it is summer now, this clay mask will have the eucalyptus mint element in it, the eucalyptol and menthol in eucalyptus and peppermint essential oils will give your skin an instant cooling effect, in the meantime, it also helps to purify and deep clean your skin pores.

Another ingredient in our whipped clay mask is Kaolin Clay. Kaolin Clay is an excellent facial cleanser- it is a mild yet very effective facial cleanser. Unlike soap, it does not foam up, but kaolin clay benefits your skin by gently sloughing away dull dead skin, absorbing impurities from your pores[source], and leaving your skin feeling wonderfully soft! A soft and soothing clay for smooth, luminous skin. Get it here [ US / Europe]
Benefits of clay mask
- purify and tighten pores
- remove oiliness and dirt from facial tissues
- soften and smoothen skin
How to DIY whipped claymask
To make the clay mask spreadable in a lotion-like form, I have added coconut oil and avocado oil by emulsifying them with witch hazel hydrosol. I have chosen 2 types of emulsifiers here. They are polawax and BTMS-50. BTMS-50 is a conditioner wax. It’s a type of wax generally included in hair conditioner for smoother and silkier hair. When it is used in a skincare recipe, your facial skin will be smoother and softer.

minsPhase A/ Heating liquid phase, Phase B/Heating Oil Phase, Phase C/ Post Heating Phase, Phase D/ Cool Down Phase
Ingredients
Phase B/ 4.19g Avocado Oil
Phase B/ 3.22g Polawax [ US / Europe ]
Phase D/ 0.6g Eucalyptus Essential Oil
Phase D/ 0.3g Peppermint Essential Oil
Phase D/ 0.64g Geogard 221
Directions
- Weigh and transfer the ingredients of phase A into a double boiler. Place it over a barely-simmering water bath.
- Weigh and transfer the ingredients of phase B into a double boiler. Place it over a barely-simmering water bath.
- Check the temperatures of both containers. Each container should be about 70Ā°- 80Ā°c. If the oil and wax mixture has cooled, place back into the microwave until fully melted. Place the stick blender into the water and burp it to help get rid of bubbles. Pour the oil and wax mixture into the water and use a spatula to make sure every little bit is added. Begin mixing. The mixture will take on a āmilkyā appearance once the water, oil, and waxes have begun to emulsify. Continue to stir for about a minute.
- Begin adding heaping spoonfuls of the kaolin clay and mixing with the mixer until combined. Continue adding the clay to the mixture and blending in small amounts until all the clay is added.
- Continue stick blending for about 1-2 minutes. Use a spatula to scrape down any clay that may be on the sides of the bowl. Check the temperature of the mixture. Once the mixture is about 70-80Ā°C, add the phase D ingredients. Mix the ingredients with a mini electronic mixer until fully mixed.
- Pour the mixture into the bail jars. If you find you have a lot of bubbles on the top, you can spritz the top of the containers with 99% isopropyl alcohol to help get rid of some of them. Allow the containers to cool for several hours with the lid open to avoid condensation. Once fully cooled, the mixture will have become a thick, lotion-like texture. We found that the top of the mask does form a bit of a skin as it dries.
- To use, apply a medium layer to dry, clean skin. Avoid the immediate eye area. Allow the mask to sit on the skin for about 10-15 minutes. Use warm water to rinse off. There is no need to wash the skin after, but you can if you prefer. For drier skins, do no use more than one time per week.

What will be the substitute for witch hazel n poly wax
Calleigh says
Hi Shubhangi! You can replace it by emulsifying wax NF and for witch hazel , you can replace it by distilled water.
If you donāt have emulsifier you can try this single use clay mask recipe instead
